Ms. Henrietta Levin
Director for Southeast Asia and ASEAN Affairs
National Security Council

Since September 2020, Ms. Henrietta Levin has served on the National Security Council as the Director for Southeast Asia and ASEAN affairs. Prior to her current role, she worked as an advisor to the U.S. Mission at the United Nations in New York. Additionally, Ms. Levin has worked at the State Department’s Bureaus of East Asian and Pacific Affairs and Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, as well as the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. From 2014-2016, Ms. Levin was a Presidential Management Fellow detailed to the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a spokesperson. Ms. Levin has a B.A. in international relations, as well as a Master’s in public diplomacy, from the University of Southern California. She has also studied at the Defense Information School and Geneva Graduate Institute, and she speaks French and Chinese.
